Chapter 827
Promoting Aviation in Penobscot Valley

Home

Welcome to "grass roots" aviation and the Penobscot Valley Chapter 827 of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA).

EAA is comprised of nearly 1,000 chapters around the world and provides a forum for members to share their love of aviation.  EAA's vision is - "To be the leading community of enthusiasts, passionately engaged in appreciating and enjoying aviation."

Members bring a diversity of interests that represent all aspects of recreational aviation.  You don't need to be a pilot to become a member, you only need to have an interest in any area of aviation, whether for light airplanes, ultralights, light-sport aircraft, vintage airplanes, warbirds, or building or restoring airplanes.

Penobscot Valley Chapter 827 is the local EAA chapter serving the greater Penobscot Valley region of Maine.  We typically meet at 9 a.m. on the third Saturday of the month at Miller's Field (ME 74) in Newburgh, and guests are always welcome.

A number of our talented and dedicated chapter members are currently building a Wagabond airplane.  The Wagabond Builders Group meets most Wednesday evenings from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

If you have an interest in aviation we invite you to attend our chapter meetings, and to consider becoming a member.  We would be happy to answer questions or provide you with more information about the benefits of becoming a member, or about the Wagabond Builders Group.  Simply click Contact@eaa827.org
